Compete for national titles. This is your chance to race against the best mountain runners from the length of the country, including athletes who've represented NZ at world championships.
First NZ Mountain Champs up Wellington's iconic Mt Kaukau that gives all competitors panoramic harbour views. Easy logistics and premiere courses.
15 minutes from Wellington CBD. Public transport links. No remote mountain location logistics. Easy warm up and down to/from the start finish area.
Share the start line with NZ's world championship athletes. Same courses, same fun, same celebration.
The courses aren't long, but they are tough. You'll use every bit of energy to get around the iconic Skyline Ridge. Technical trails that challenge and inspire.
Choose your distance, choose your level of competition. Everyone runs the same world-class courses.
Start/Finish: Reserve between McLintock Street and Carmichael Street, Johnsonville
Race HQ: Olympic Harriers Clubrooms, Waiora Hub, Bannister Ave
Just a 3 minute drive between HQ and start/finish. Plenty of parking at Waiora Hub. Consider ride-sharing or use the 1.5km in between as your warm-up!
📥 Download Location MapAll races follow the iconic Skyline Track up and beyond Mt Kaukau. Start at the northern end, head south along the ridgeline with spectacular views. Each distance has its own turnaround point, with the long course featuring an extra challenging loop.
